Was thinking of anything I could use for an external mixer that wouldn't be expensive, and remembered I had a few of these laying around. Pretty fun to use, lot more headroom than traktor.

EDIT: oh but the gain is a bit finicky to use...

8 usable, but 4 of those are mono so it's more like 6.

    12 channels...

    stereo means Left and Right

so you can have 6 stereo pairs

you can use the PAN to mix between 2 mono sources.

A bassline is normally a mono source, a mono sample can be used as a mono source... so you have 12 usable channels.. but I guess this mixer is new to you and you havnt really gotten a chance to figure it out/ use it to its fullest

I'm used to traktor so I'll probably use this for learning about how to use the gain and stuff, I kinda want to rig up a crossfader or something to it.

I also just found out it has a special feature where the knobs come up a bit so you have room to turn them! Unfortunately they can come off if they go too far.

if want to get technical.... this mixer has 2 aux send/returns so you could add fx or use those to send your sources to another 2 channel mixer with crossfader

You think I'd be using this if I had a mixer with a crossfader?

I do have another one of these laying around though, maybe after I get some CDJs I'll do something funky with those, two of these mixers and traktor.
