Just pull the original knobs (they are not glued or screwed) and place the new ones. Check out the attached picture.

    Good luck

If you are in the UK you should be able to order from Banzaimusic because it is a German shop you don't have to pay import taxes. I live in Portugal and I always order from them and from other German or UK shops. For this kind of accessories Banzai is one of the best I've found so far.

    And here also: http://www.tubeampdoctor.com/index.php?cPath=22

But I think the ones I've mentioned from Banzai are the best because of the way the LPD is built. The pots used have a short "pin" so you need a knob that can fit in the same place as the original one and you need to fix it well with a screw or glue.

    Right its looking good

I emailed the company to ask what other knobs would fit. Maybe i'll get something crazy

also i found out how to remove my lpd8 knobs

first i slid a post it note under. ( a thick bit of paper would do)
then i used a putty trowel ( a knife would do to get under the knob and lift it.)
then i placed the trowel flat an it lifted the knob off

the paper is so you dont scratch up the controller

here's the underside of the knob. so you can email your local dealer

    Hi again,

Any knob with the following specs should work:

    # Diameter (bottom): 13mm
    # Diameter (top): 12,5mm
    # Height: 15,7mm
    # Shaft diameter: 6,3mm
    # Shaft type: the best is a D-shaft type but round shaft works if it has a screw

The ones I used are round shaft with a screw, the stay a bit off axis (0,5 mm) but you did not notice that in the picture, did you? ;-)

You need to pay attention to the length of the pot shaft of the LPD8 which is very short and you can not use knobs like this http://www.banzaimusic.com/2-color-knob-ED-RED.html.

Check out my web site (http://livekaos.cz.cc/) for some more tips for the LPD8, Ableton Live or Traktor Pro.

Just cut a strip of paper the height of the hole in the knob, and about as long as the diameter of the hole. Roll it up, and put it in the hole before you press it onto the stem of the rotary pot. Gives you a nice snug (interference) fit.

I've just done this on my UC-16. I bought knobs to fit a 6mm splined stem. I had to drill out the hole in the knob using a 6mm drill. After that I did the above paper trick, and now I'm sorted...
