    @Fyoog
The issue is mainly software and not hardware. The VCI-100 is only putting out 7-bit midi, but that is all that Traktor can cope with. Traktor can benefit from 14-bit midi for the pitch faders (a firmware update would be necessary for the 100), but the jogs it can not do anything with.

there has been some talk on these forums about ways to improve this, but after doing some reading, I see the onus is Traktor to get this sorted first.

If I'm off my rocker, please someone correct me.

    Phil.

Same experience here. Does not work as well as I would have hoped.

are NI actually going to implement the 14 bit on the jogs? i mean it has been nearly 2 years since vestax released the damn thing, they've had plenty of time.....

Dunno. Thing is the VCI 300 is not meant for Traktor which is why NI didnt put any rescources into it. Just the same as not being able to use a VCI 100 with Itch.

Sucks for the consumer. VCI 100 or 300, it would be great to have a choice.

At the moment i can only see NI implementing 14bit jogs if they, or another company came out with a Traktor Specific controller.

This where NI could clean up.

Isn’t the VMS4 due out in July supposed to have 14 bit jogs?

    This works AWESOME!!!

I don't know what you guys are talking about. Grant it, if you compare it to Itch - yes Itch is far superior, but this works just as good as the VCI-100 and I think better because the platters are larger so it feels better. Props to Zac.

I know the 300 is not as versatile with Traktor as the 100 is because its missing some knobs, but the versatility lies in that you can use two great applications effectively. Also keep in mind that if you are like me and Mac user, you only have two USB ports. So with the 100 that means its your VCI + Sound card. if you want more, then you need a hub. If your like me and simple dude, sometimes less is more. With the built in sound card I have a free USB to add an X1 and have all the control of Traktor I need without using a hub, and now with working jogs wheels. I also have the option of using Itch.

This worked better than I thought it would.

Any neat VCI-300 mappings out there???????

Thats pretty much what i said a few pages back dude.

Zacs mapping makes the 300 work exactly like the 100.

I agree the bigger jogs are better and the ability to tighten the jogs makes them easier to control.

Its still not Hi-Res though and i think you lose to much functionality over the VCI 100 if you need the knobs.

Like Zac and i have said, a VCI300 and an X1 is a killer combo. Way better than that daft ad-on thingy for the 300. That thing is ridiculous for the price.

As for 300 mappings. I havent seen any good ones and ive tried quite a few.
Id build one from the ground up if i were you. The ones i tried were ridiculous with about 5 modifier states on every button. Silly.

    ^^^ agree 100%

I found a pretty good mapping that made sense, and yep. It had 7 modifiers for some simple things! =O

im diggin it though...the 300 that is.

    Sorry to bump this but...

How would one incorporate the jogs setting from this INCOMPLETE .tsi into an existing TSI?
