I had toad in the hole with baked beans and a mountain of grated cheese on top for tea, washed down with a 1.5ltr Mountain Dew.

Dim Sum last night for dinner.

Pasta and risotto are my staples

If i'm feeling mega flush (and it's a special treat), I must admit I do like taking the missus to somewhere fancy. For our anniversary I took her to the Fat Duck which is Heston Blumenthal's place.

He does crazy shit there like snail porridge and bacon and egg ice cream. Sound disgusting but is literally mind blowing.

He also does stuff like bringing out an ipod in a shell with the sounds of the sea playing while you eat a fresh oyster...

It's like a once in a lifetime experience. It's dear but it's honestly worth it. I look at it like it's the cost of going out twice to a decent place.

Almost drug like reactions from the amazing flavors...

mm i live in chicago - land of the most decadent pizza known to man...
chicago or new york city style - the one thing they have in common: the crust has to be made with HIGH heat ovens. thats why dominoes suck as well as the majority of home made shit - youve got to make it in high heat furnaces, regardless of the style

@ diezdiazgiant you can't forget about Boston style either If you've never been to the north end, you're seriously missing out. But I do like Chicago style better than NY :P
