yea man. I'm talking about splitting one output. I'm using an old ass business dell that I got because I could stuff it with ram, any soundcard and everything is easily repairable- and it works great. But yea, one output, DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A MAC... Using a simple headphone splitter. It's great for dicking around and even house parties and such... gonna need a new NI, for anything serious though.
Yeah... to be honest when i first got Traktor i was just dicking about with a laptop so i just split the output from the headphone output. Sure it was mono but it meant i could split the channels to an external Mixer just so i could use the software.
Its a basic solution for guys who are starting out.
Or for clumsy guys who tend to go through soundcards like a muthafucka.
So this definitely fucks up internal recording, right? Considering it would only be recording one channel, right? Or if mono is checked, it records the mono output...
kinda off topic but did you end up sourcing the knobs? i don't see how they can be so expensive, it's just a piece of molded plastic.. I can't find those yellow fluorescent knobs anywhere
mixing in the box when streaming live with nicecast i didnt think there was i way to monitor a cue the hard part is stopping nicecast from picking up my cueing so im testing with the crossfader and levels and getting a friend to pick up my live stream
