but on a piddly 10/11" screen it would be even more difficult to see as everything would be shrunk down to fit.

it's not just how much will fit on the screen, but whether you can actually read it without a magnifying glass

Please stick to the topic of recommending netbooks, or don't post at all, pretty please?

my back up is a Dell Mini10v running OS X Snow Leopard with 2g of RAM.

Analyzing songs it takes a bit longer, nothing too bad for a back up computer, but it works fine. Never had any issues - longest set i've done with hit was about 2 hours. Never pushed it any longer.

dacuba: I am getting a bad ass 17", i7 laptop for my porn productions. But 13 and 15 inch is to big for my needs.

I use a 13 inch right now and I still shrink down the font in traktor to like 8-9 or something like that and I see just fine. I do 4-7 hour sets every night of the weekend, never feel strained eyes or anything so I can't imagine 11'6 would be that much harder to see.

I am running an HP Mini 1116NR With Snow Leopard. 1.6 Atom with 2GB RAM and the 16GB SSD w 16GB SDHC and external. all runs perfect with timecodes 3 effects each deck AND recording, I can also mix 4 decks on it no problem with latency between 5.5(2 decks) and 7ms (when mixing 4 I had some stuttering a couple times with 4 decks at 5.5) Only thing that SUCKS, is the screen real estate, but for mobility, price and the fact that it's solid state and size, It does it's job PERFECTLY. I am a tech nerd though and faster and newer is just one of my things, so it will be replaced eventually

DJMutagen, I'm assuming when you run 4 decks, it's in mini view?

the bottom two, C&D, yes. A/B are full with scratch view and the grid/cue parameters, sad though, traktor cuts off the effects/recording board up top on the small screen, even though there is CLEARLY enough room at the bottom of the screen to move everything down. I have my file button on my Hercules Steel mapped to the file tree, so I'd like to COMPLETELY hide it to fit my effects back up top in full screen because I can't see the files ANYWAY with the tiny bit of the browser that you see... Once I fix my fan, I'll take screenshots :-)

i dunno...it just seems like innovation is starting to cloud the minds of the DJ of today. its one thing to try and make every god damn controller out there work with traktor and traktor only but two netbooks is totally and entirely without a single question in my mind, utterly useless. sure some of us like myself may not go about posting things with correct grammar and syntax or even punctuation for that matter but it doesnt take a scholar to see this is a completely bogus plan. no offense to the OP intended, just seems like with that cash you could come up with something a little smarter to use than two mcdonalds happy meal sized netbooks.
