Mapping question for a newbie

I am just got my vc1 100 can i use any mapping or do i have to use certian ones .New the digital scene sorry if some of my questions sound dumb. my setup will consist of this 1 vestex vci100 ,one midi fighter just ordered , traktor with audio 8 .Also will I need any additional software to run the 2 midi controllers. thanks all

Best to start with a premade mapping, such as you can find on here. Once you get more familiar with midi etc, you can change functions more to your liking later on.
