so i am looking for a pair of solid studio monitors to add to my home setup, i was thinking of the KRK RP6's or M-audio BX5A deluxe. just looking for some input, from any body who has used them, or any suggestion for studio monitors?

The adam's are nice (although only 5 inches), but I think they are out of his price range...

Have the KRK 5s. They have a great sound, rich and full.

One thing I have found with ALL monitors, though, is that you will never get the super lows. We mix dance music and it is all produced with those rich creamy or hard hitting lows. You might be able to hear them through your monitors, but you will never feel the music like you do in a club. The only way out is a sub, you don't even have to turn it up very much if you are close to it, but you really FEEL the music.

So my suggestion is a pair of 5" to keep the real estate down (find ones that YOU like the sound of) and consider a sub to match. Once I added the 10s, my whole mood towards my set changed.

    Later, Phil.

I'd recommend to look at Yamaha HS50M (225$ each) they are just great!

DON'T get the KRK's... They add way to much color to your music and once tracks get mastered the sound like sh!t.

    +1

Settle for Mackie MR5/Fostex PM04 instead.
