If money not an issue then get a mac and install windows on another partition. You can enjoy the best and the worse of both worlds.

get an intel core 2 chip, 4g of ram and a nice size hardrive and your good to go enough said

personal message me for more details as they are illegal as stated by Macintosh: "you may only install mac operating systems in a apple labeled machine" though every ipod gives you a nice apple sticker to label your machine...

Hackintoshiba leopard osx / windows ultimate 7
3 gigs ram 300 gig hd 17" screen Intel dual-core

beautifully runs Ableton suite 8, Traktor Scratch Pro 1.2, SSL 3,
FL Studio 9, etc, etc, etc, & half complete loading Komplete


Found a Wallmart add advertising one similar for only $250,
not trying to feed the worst of the corporate monsters but that's a deal.

Afraid I have to totally disagree with this statement. The whole advantage of getting a mac and using OSX isn't just OSX itself, its the tight integration of OSX with the specific hardware combination thats in the mac products. When you put it on another hardware combination it becomes just another os.

Not saying it wont run far from it, just that you loose its main advantage and kind of the whole point of it.

honestly I'm not Mac experienced enough to argue on the topic, but logic would tell its going to be "better" on the hardware for which it was engineered, but logically spending twice+ price for how much more integration, 7%? like I said i'm not a MAC or for that matter a PC, I just utilize my resources to the best of there ability's, some times modding them to fit my needs, i think that's some what the idea this sites based..

the "hole point" being to run a more solid OS, less tedious than Linux.

My friend did this... the only thing is you need to make sure you have all the proper hardware in the lappy. Somethig was off with the graphics card or something and he couldnt get it properly working with hackintosh osx so his screen size was really small... he ended up selling his brand new HP laptop and getting a 13" MBP. He wasn't very tech savy and just constantly was getting really scratchy sound quality out of the Audio 8 with windows vista, then xp, then 7... when he did the Hackintosh on the HP laptop the sound quality was fine, but the screen size couldn't be fixed... so he went with the MBP.

I hear good things about people running the Hackintosh system though, just make sure the proper research is doneon the hardware used...

There are about 6 different patches for Hackintosh

I recommend researching OSX86 users with an exact model or similar to your machine,
& install which ever they used.

*First* burn "Gparted" (freeware) so you can boot back into windows
encase anything messes up during your OSX installation or boot..
none of the directions I used mention that...

Then add a Partition, download, burn, install etc..

Youtube all this stuff for set by step.
