Seen a few post lately for VCI-300 mappings. Here's one I've been messing around with. This is Soulst mapping that I've added Zac's jogwheel mapping and they work awesome. You need to make sure you press the scratch button and turn on scratch. Also, added all LEDs working (except for volume meters). Big change is Out Loop 1 turns on Delay for the desired deck and Outloop 2 triggers the freeze. What I have not fixed is that the lights turn on on both sides. SO whatever side you turn it on from, make sure you turn it off.
Mostly everything is set up similar to Itch and whats on the controller.
Trim = Filter. Press the button below it to turn on the filter
Trim + Shift = Gain
Shift + Keylocks = quantize and snap
The small pitch shift buttons assign effect 1&2
For searching for tracks you can press back to go down the tree and
pressing the center button plus the fwd button opens a folder.
Shift + crates = changes the left side EQ and Cue buttons to control
effects bank 1 for chained effects
Shift + browes = changes right side EQ and Cue buttons to control
effects bank 2 for advanced effects.
Use the cue and loop out buttons to turn on the effects and scroll for effects. Also while in this mode Shift + EQ buttons controls the actual EQ's.
Im sure I'm missing a few things, but mess around with it and you'll
figure most of it out. It still needs some polishing up to be good.
I think it needs another controller like an X1 (which is what I use
with it) to really get the most out of Traktor. But for a simple 2
deck easy mixing with good jogs and minimal use of effects this works
pretty damn well.
I plan on making out loop 3 a slice button or beatmasher, and I might just leave scratch on at all times since I don't ever pitch bend in traktor and use that button to trigger decks 3 and 4. Enjoy!
Again this was Soulst mapping so I give him full credit.
