Thanks. I just wish the color would print more accurately, the kinkos and staples printers can't get it right, oh well it's close enough. Check my edit to see the full overlay/map. I just noticed I lost the deck letters after the play/pause buttons when editing it. In any case the order is Play A, C, B, D so it's pretty straight forward.
what format are you bringing the image to them in? perhaps ask them if there is an ideal format they want? I know i ran into some color reproduction problems when i brought in jpg. the printer company said to try pdf and it turned out better
I can see that most people here have a lot more money than I do.
Here's what I have for the moment until this new job comes through:
Compaq Presario Q50
Traktor Pro 1.2
Vci-100
Presonus Audiobox USB (selling for an Audio 8 DJ)
Sennheiser HD280 headphones
Logic 8
Reason 4
Ableton Live 7
M-Audio Axom 61 controller.
PowerMac G4 1.25 dual core
Equipment not used because of lack of interface equipment
2x Vestax PDX-2000
Numark 3001X mixer (cheap)
2x Shure Whitelabel
It's easier to show you my set up in action.
I have uploaded a 10 minute mix on Youtube.
I use:
Dell Inspiron 1520 w/Win XP
NI Audio 4 DJ
Traktor Pro
2 VCI-100s (channel 1 = tracks A&B / channel 2 = tracks C&D)

note: you can only do this with Win XP.
Vista took away the 2 channel functionality.
Wondering if Windows 7 brings it back?
Hi!
I have a video explaining my Ableton + APC40 template online at http://www.vimeo.com/6993740
The template is downloadable and free at http://github.com/willrjmarshall/AbletonDJTemplate, as I'm hoping other people will use it, adapt it and get something out of it
Finally received the firmware kit, overlays, and green knobs and faders last night. So stoked! Love the way it looks and love the functionality even more. Haven't had a chance to play around with it much yet, just wanted to make sure everything works and is good to go. Setup is simple, but more than enough to get me started in this hobby
- HP Pavilion G60-203ca (16.0", Intel T4200 2.0GHz, 3.0GB Memory, 250GB HD, Windows Vista Home Premium)
- Numark DJ I/O
- VCI-100 with FW 1.3, DJTT overlay, green knobs and faders
- Behringer HPX-2000 headphones
- Traktor Pro 1.12
the addition of the korg microsampler. next stop would be the korg wavedrum and either the allen and heith xone4D or the xone 92 if i wanna go for an analog mixer
