Apropos the "future of DJing (with Traktor)" (sic) - some are calling it "the sad present". Theo Parrish will have a bonfire with this.

Has anyone else considered that maybe the multi-colored wave forms are now a representation of the beatgrid instead of hard white lines?

Well in one of the pictures I've seen the waveform appears green on what appears to be the kick it then changes to pink or some other color for what might be snare then back to green again on the kick. Maybe just coincidence but...

yeah explain. Do you mean instead of dropping a bunch of white lines it drops a colored overlay of the waveform as grid lines? How would you edit that?
I think they were just taken off so show off the colored waves for marketing purposes.
And why release a teaser today? Wonder what Serato has up their sleeves for NAMM this weekend that NI wants to make some noise. Fun stuff. Digging the waves and hopes of better grids big time. Props to NI.

Here's hoping that a. the new version will work with my Audio4, b. upgrade pricing will be reasonable and c. it will not be a public beta in large scale field testing like the current traktor was up until 1.2.7 (or maybe 1.2.5 if you don't count the broken m4a support)

In the video its branded traktor scratch pro, so my thinking is software upgrade will be free but features will be locked down to the new sound cards. There better be more than new waveforms and a sample deck else they might start slipping behind serato
