God damn rapid gear acquisition syndrome...

I can't get over how awesome the full kill EQs + the VU meters are.
Might replace the knobs at some point though, not sure the chunky things are for me. I use the EQs tons so eeeerrhh might be worth the hassle.

I keep brushing my fingers against adjacent knobs which isn't fun. Fuck knows how since I have the skinniest fingers ever.

Also I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the texture yet.

So I decided to organize my room and found a couple of nice goodies that belonged to my brother

Both are latched (toggle) and the Reverb button doesn't send any MIDI (doesn't surprise me). Gonna use the single one along with the S4 once I find a way override the default map's toggle behaviour.

I found a Cry Baby too, might be interesting once I find a way to hook it up.

the crybaby is just a sort of filter, could be an excellent post fader effect for buildups!

Well, my studio is pretty much done. Only waiting for my Yamaha HS80Ms to come into stock and a flightcase for the Xone:42 that's on backorder.

I give you The Villa Straylight.

    - MacMini 2.66 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 500GB HDD, 8GB RAM
    - Numeric Keypad Keyboard + Track Pad
    - Logic Studio Pro 9
    - M-Audio KeyRig 49
    - ReFX Nexus 2 w/Expansions
    - ReFX Vanguard w/Expansions
    - Access Virus Indigo 2 w/MidiMan MidiSport 2x2
    - Edirol MA-7A Powered Monitors (awaiting Yamaha HS80Ms on backorder)

    - MacMini 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 500GB HDD, 4GB RAM
    - Novation nio2|4
    - A&H Xone:42
    - NI Traktor Pro 2
    - NI Kontrol X1
    - Mixed In Key 4
    - Sennheiser HD25-IISP

    A cool lamp as well.

    Build log is over here.

We go by the name Esplanade - here is a sample of some work we've done. We've got another few tracks almost ready to go, but I'm waiting for some proper monitors to mix them on.

If you'd like to keep up with what is coming out, please like our productions page on Facebook. We'll also be releasing some production tip videos in the near future too.

Future plans (when tax refund time comes )
    - Mackie Big Knob (for switching monitors/sources)
    - NI Audio 8 (so I can run 4 decks in Traktor)
    - Virus TI (cos one just isn't enough - plus the integration with Logic is pimp, yo!)
    - A lava lamp

I also did pull out my older MacBook Pro and my work MacBook for additional coolness in the pics of the main workstation . They can both be run as Logic Nodes so I am looking at grabbing a switch as well soon, but so far we have run more plugins than both our older 2.3Ghz MacBook Pros could handle and the Mini doesn't even sweat.
