What kind of desk do you have? Is it home-made or commercial?

Thank you! It is a homemade console made from Ikea parts. I will post more pics later of the console construction and updates to my gear.

If you want you could use a synthesizer, and use it as a midi keyboard/controller.
Both I guess. I would use it to control soft synths. I've now decided to go with the Arturia AE Laboratory 61. It will arrive mid-next week!

How do you like the rmx? I always thought it was really interesting, but not entirely practical in the sense that it doesn't allow you to do anything you can't already do with a good mixer or in most dj software.

It's a lot of fun and it does a lot more then your standard effects on a DJM900 or DJM2000. I also run traktor with Kontrol X1's, F1's and I'm working on a custom mapping for the APC40 for grouped FX. Everything combined just adds infinite ways to add creativity to my sets. You really have to get some time behind the device before you can judge it. All the people that have played around with my RMX have been sold on it but most cannot afford it.

    Although funny, absolutely unnecessary.

Freaking hot! Amazing choice of gear!
What was the intention for the Mac Pro? Just to add more performance for running Traktor and Ableton or something similar parallely or is there a tendency towards music production?
