Yep, contemplating another X1.

EDIT, not that I really need it though.

I'm a X1 noob and wondering if the same functions aren't available on the S4..
Is it better kontrol-able or is it just easyer to work with the FX on the X1?

the S4 FX section is mapped in the same way as the X1 (but horizontally )

only functionality added is an extra button to swap between advanced/chained modes and snapshots (mapped as shift+that button)

Yeah you can do everything with the S4, but I like the X1 because it gives a little finer control without having to press extra shit buttons. And the other buttons do things like EQ, kills and cues 5-8.

Any thoughts about mapping the effects knobs on the X1 to control the sample deck's volumes and filters? I am itching to do it, but my controller is at NI for fixin'.

works fine, i'd rather have dedicated volume knobs for all samples and focus filters with encoders (like on the s4). I'm using a tiny bit altered version of the supplied TSI

Thanks, that's clear. Thinking about spending some money on more kontrol. X1 it tempting but what about the midi-fighter. Is it describable or like an unmapped x1 with arcade buttons..?
