In other news i just got off the NAMM show floor and did a quick walk through.
Not much in terms of product out just yet but there are some interesting graphics of products from some companies. 1 thing which was cool but weird. Won't spill anything just yet. That would be way too uncool.

It also means the space needed for the DVS solution with these babies is going to be quite a lot. (Or any other solution for that matter, like an S4 or S2 with two of these beauties on their sides.)

But who cares? What fun these will be! And what possibilities they open up for creative DJing. I will probably be selling my Maschine and getting two of these babies.

I'm also inclined to think this will not be an X2 like everybody is calling it. Maybe it'll be the S1.

A 2 track 2 sample deck setup with an X1 and X2/S1/whatever we are calling it on page 24, looks like the mobility challenged dj's best friend. Glad to see they are the same size (although it wouldn't make much sense if they weren't)

It looks to me like the new controller is slightly wider than the X1, but it's hard to tell. I'm also beginning to wonder if this would be mappable to Maschine software.

Just a guess, maybe it's exactly the same width as the x1, this way they don't have to manufacture a new case.

I hope with the apparent change in how Traktor users can interface with their sound collection will bring some needed changes in the program's MIDI mapping interface...
