Musician's Friend - 15% off one item over $199 - FREEDOM15
Pro Audio Star - 15% off - REDWHITEBLUE (these guys are also usually good about lowering prices if you call, could be a nice discount if anyone's looking to make a big purchase)
If only I weren't so sure of a MK2 CDJ2000 around the corner (as I have been for over a year...) I'd finally get them.
I was just browsing through this thread. Seriously guys, you all need help, haha.
A couple of months ago I decided not to buy any new gear before I really have to replace one of my controllers. I had ordered a Launchpad, then a Kontrol S2 but I sent the stuff back right away. I realized that I donīt need it and, most importantly, it wouldnīt have helped me to improve my skills. In my experience new gear means all to often new problems, it kills the workflow etc.. I spent to much time creating mappings, arrange my controllers ergonomically and so on.
So I decided to stick with my current gear (Reloop DJ 2, Akai MPD 32, Korg Nanopad, Sony Vaio Notebook, Alesis M1MK2 Active-Speakers) and get the most out of it. Ever since I made the decision, I have been focussing only on music and creating new mixes on a regular basis.
But every once in a while I plan a new setup just for fun - just in case. Must resist, must not by new gear...oh, it is really hard sometimes.
I'm making plans to build a modular synth. Fuck.
