Darren styles still does shit? Lol yeah he would be an example of going into the nu energy style.... I really have been a fan of my nrg style trance for ages.... I really enjoyed hard trance before it went all hard style .... Derb/Kai Tracid/yakooza actually I mixed a lot of hard trance with psytrance in the early 2000s I would start out with some epic trance go into hard trance and end with some psytrance
Skazi, Infected Mushroom, Astral Projection style psytrance... Well now i know what my next set will be should be a curveball compare to my deep house/disco sets lol

OP, worth checking www.planet-rave.com, really nice mix of genres on there, with plenty of nu school hardcore, jungle and old school radio shows, the extra plus point is many of the hosts have their own labels, so its instant access to what is happening within the scenes.

This thread made me incredibly happy in a nostalgia-y kinda way

I was a little bit of a late-bloomer getting into the UK hardcore stuff, but man did I have a good run. Darren Styles, Hixxy, Gammer, pretty much anything off the early Bonkers compilations was what I cut my teeth on primarily. Hell, I'll still throw them into Traktor and have the best time trainwrecking them all over the place
