On topic before this gets locked: had a 2006 Dell inspiron with a 2 ghz core duo processor running xp and subsequently win 7 with 2 gb ram prior to my current MBP. Windows took a bit of configuring and had some headaches, but worked fine all in all. MBP runs Traktor better and was plug and play, but is also a 2011 computer vs the 2006 computer. Either OS will do the job, it's just a bit more hit or miss on windows in terms of ease of setup. This topic has been beaten to death and the honest answer is that windows works fine if you know what you're doing, while OS X runs fine even if you don't. /thread
