lol i just realized that people bitched about the headphone placement on the ddm4000 but not the db4....

Well that behringer mixer has it all the way in the middle, haha.
I like this placement (better then on the xone 92) since this way there is enough room to play with the filter

Actually that headphone jack on the db4 would be terrible for ppl trying to play vinyl which IMO would be a big draw for due to all the effects ppl could use with the db4.

You can't have heard them. I'm not talking about loop rolls, filters and gaters here, I mean subtle yet powerful colour effects that can take a buildup into the next dimension. Has to be tried out first hand.

Amen... I pretty much never touched effects before using the DB4. It really allows one to modify a track in a way that sounds like its part of the production (just a different one) rather than the blatant "oh, you slammed the flanger on the build there... why?" kind of sonic destruction found with many software effects.

I think it's set a precedent for DJ effects. It absolutely blows Pioneer's out of the water, and even Traktor's plethora doesn't stand up to it. I really hope there's a general step up in quality in the next round of gear.
