Yay my Midi Fighter arrived today. Bought off a guy in the Buy & Sell forum on DJTT.
Got a bunch of new buttons and a new top plate on its way (thanks Zach).
Will post pics of the re-made Midi Fighter when done.

my cat posing with...his midi fighter
Yay its me.
And my beloved DJTT VCI
And my fans!
We have fun.
...so i bought a Midi Fighter 2nd hand from the DJTT Buy & Sell Forum.
Wanted one for a while but as i have no real need (see sig) i thought id see if one came up in UK. It did and i snapped it up.
Just for fun heres the pics. Not great quality as they were done on my iPhone with the MF in my lap on the living room table but i guess thats in keeping with the MF DIY spirit.
I wanted the MF to look very toyish and similar to SNES controller colours so i chose the colours you will see below.
I might make another one soon but a more cool looking job. I want this one to stay toyish.
It came like this. Setup for use with Eans mapping. I dont use the mapping so i thought id re-make it.
Before attempting anything like this i suggest having an apple ready for a quick sugar hit, especially if your Type 2 Diabetic like me. Also they are tasty.
Taking the MF apart using pens as tools..? Actually they were perfect for the job.
Getting there.
Er... this used to be a Midi Fighter... bits & bobs.
Right, lets put this sucker back together.
Bottom plate , Insert screws & spacers.
Check.
Place pcb on and fix the stand deallies.
Eat some apple. You deserve it.
Insert Light Tubes into acrylic top plate and fix with grommets.
Line up top plate and light tubes with LEDs.
Eat more apple.
Fix top plate into position.
Finish apple.
Check your design on DJTechTools and get your buttons out.
Start putting buttons back on. Carefully but firmly push them into place in the pcb.
Ooh.
Done... looking good but will it work???
Though id get my 1 year old niece to try take it for its first play. Success.
Using the Midi Fighter with the VCI 100 SE in the bar.
Lots of flashing LEDs. Beat Phase Monitor is a joy (nerd).
got my diy kit yesterday.
Welcome
That is a beautiful photo mate... props.
