@ Pet... Doesnt matter that you own an Audio 8 at all.
Hacks like these serve one purpose and that is to make it easy for people to download a Cracked Torrent version of Traktor and use a $50 soundcard.

You can tell yourself that it means you can use timecode while you friend has the AUdio 8 as much as you like but the fact remains that you are helping the software pirates.

AS for this being cool cus it allows NI to work on fixing loopholes. I think most Traktor users would rather have NI spend time and resources on cool things like a Sampler or Maschine integration .

Well whos gonna buy an Audio 4/8 from the DJTTs shop now that they can do this hack..? Something for Ean to think about perhaps ... Jus saying.

Anyway. This is clearly where i bow out of this thread (once again)

(note: i kept it all very civil. Please do the same back)

I hear ya Karlos. NI would rather spend their time developing.....but if they did muck up like the last loophole....they HAVE to fix it no?

So it would be in their best interest to fix it......or see a drop in Audio 8's.

    You did keep it civil!

    Judo's!

    I mean...Kudo's!

"its not illegal to use my trick if you have a legal copy op TSP!"

I would not say its Legal dude.

Messing with the code and drivers etc....is illegal i rate.

If its just a work around, i guess its 'legal'.

If it is indeed a work-around and nothing is tweak of THEIRS.....then i REALLY think its in NI's best interest to address it.

Why would it be illegal to do any of this? Assuming you bought TSP and you bought your soundcard and you're not breaking any other laws, I just don't understand all the drama over this. I think it's great if you can figure out a way to use other soundcards if you need to. I have Audio8 and I love it, it's a fantastic soundcard, but maybe you want 192kHz, or maybe you want a smaller card to toss in your luggage, or maybe you want to use your Audio8 on a different computer for production work or whatever. You bought the shit you ought to be able to use it in any way that makes you happy. It's apparently not even excluded in the EULA as someone else pointed out. Let's say I find a way to use my Audio8 as a sex toy, are you gonna tell me this is illegal because the EULA recommends that I use it for DVS?

*Assuming I'm not in Texas, that is, where any sex toy is probably illegal...

It's not that this process is illegal. It's the enabling of the guys who are "borrowing" the software from their friends or stealing it through torrents.
