I just did the arcade mod, i plugged in the vci without running traktor and NONE of the buttons show any output with the data light! Any ideas for what is wrong, I followed all of the directions to the T, all of the diodes are soldered with the line facing down and everything! Any ideas at all?!?

Doesn't the current have to flow in a certain direction through the diodes? I have my buttons and my diodes, but I haven't done any real studying yet so I'm not sure.

Yeah it does, and I put them in the way that a bunch of people (mostly pilmat) said, line toward the button.

You can check the flow of the diodes to be certain if you have a multi meter.

I'm good at pulling all kinds of solutions out of my ass, sometimes one of them even works (but that's rare). Hope you get it figured out, if not post some pictures. I promise not to comment on how ugly the soldering is until it's all working.

Welllll here's the update, I pulled the original ground wire (red one) out of the solder that was holding it to the wire/diodes for the 4 buttons.... touched it back to the place where it was soldered and it worked. I'm thinking I just had a temporary lack of soldering skills because it seems to be working now, not exactly sure how or why, but I'm not going to complain.
