LANDR is a new online service that offers to master your music files in just moments. Whether you use it on finished stereo productions, individual song tracks, samples or full DJ sets, the LANDR algorithms master WAV or MP3 files. But is that really possible, or is it too good to be true? We test the service and invite a professional mastering engineer to pit his results against the automated LANDR results. Hear the results and enter an Ellen Allien remix contest for a chance to win a free year of LANDR and other huge prizes.
We've decided to issue a challenge to our community who happen to have a Midi Fighter Twister - a routine video contest specifically for our encoder-laden controller. If you can craft a clever, unique, or exciting routine featuring the Twister, you could be chosen to win $500 store credit and the notoriety that comes with being featured on the DJTT blog and social media networks.
Today's article comes from two ideas in the DJ TechTools article idea pool. First, how would you turn a play button into a "turntable stop effect" on non-turntable controllers? Related to that idea, we are excited to launch a "One-Button Mapping" contest in which everyone is invited to submit their best ideas for modular macro mappings. These are highly functional mappings that layer many useful functions onto one button so you can add them to your existing controllers for a little extra performance action.

Perhaps that's the power of InMusic (Numark's parent company) in full effect. Today we're speculating on what the other major manufacturers might be brewing up in their labs - and what their DJ controllers might look like if they added LCD screens.
