Bring on the script kiddies hacking into the DJ’s set :) This is going to be awesome…?

You don’t have to do anything mission critical with wifi streaming, you can do it all from a USB stick just like you do with CDJ 350/850/900/2000s. But it is handy for home use and small venues (especially if the setup in the venues is somewhat ‘lacking’ as happened to me a few times this year lol). I use this to plan sets and practice at home, then take my USB to play my night at the local Uni on the DJM900/CDJ2000 setup and it’s just perfect for me, plus I can use my Aero as a midi controller for traktor/cross if I’m doing much more request intesive gigs. Its a great versatile and portable unit and having this new XY/Beatloop features for the app just makes it that more fun, and great for experimenting for if I get to play a venue with a DJM 2000 (which I used to have but sadly had to sell, but enjoyed using the XY screen)

I upgraded to this last night and am absolutely loving it. Still early days to see how stable it is but it’s a nice fun addition and gives some of the XY control of the DJM2000 for the fx and the beat selection is now much easier to do cut style speeding up build ups. I can’t see me using the cue/play buttons, but again is a handy extra (especially if I need to go for a loo break if doing a 5 hour set)
