I’m so glad that DJTT is finally going to make profit or at least get some compensation for the wonderful mappings that you put out.  It has been a long time coming.  Thanks guys for all your great work.

im kind of happy that you guys are making a profit from all these amazing mappings.. but im just sad because I dont want the VCI mapping to have to be paid for. Or the VCI 400 one if u make it..

  • Narf

  • Nanofox

OMG that was Sic! Great job Ean on the video, mapping and performance. The pricing for the mapping is spot on! You guys should release mappings for other controllers and charge a similar fee. I just can’t wait for the VCI-400 DJTT Version and Mapping! I’m hoping that you’ll create a arcade edition and replacing the top layer of buttons with arcade ones!

Awesome Mapping as per usual. Custom knobs and faders look great on the S2; just got mine today in the mail for my MF Pro.

Nice! Way to go Ean! I’ve been working on an S4 mapping to do similar stuff and if the S4 mapping you come up with is even better than the S2 mapping you’ve just shown, then it is well worth $4.99 or even more. I know personally how hard it is to do this kind of mapping and I would gladly pay for you to do it (right;)).

Also, I am wondering how you got the mode to change with differently lit effect buttons and turning the jog. That is too cool. I’d love to know how you got that done. Can you write it up?

On that point, I was also wondering how I could give the users a better visual indication of what mode the mapping is in. I decided to just go with the effects grouping being the indicator.

The only thing that bothers me is I believe you’ve now limited yourself (and everbody else) to only three different effect groupings or modes. There are so many more possible.:) Or did I misunderstand the modes and indications?

But for a start, Wow! Keep it comin, especially the S4 mapping.

Ean, what about those people who bought the S4 from you, will we get the S4 mapping for free, or is it only the S2 users?

    thanks

  • MrSteve81

So you’re charging $4.99 for a mapping, yet you’re not telling your customers what they are buying?
    Sounds legit.

  • *Otter*

Does this mapping require the S2 to be in midi mode or can you get into jogwheel mode directly from the S2′s native mode?

  • Jon Cooper

Then why dont you go and download one of your free mappings from elsewhere?! What does it matter to you how much these cost if you aren’t going to be downloading them? IMO if you want quality, tested mappings then you have 3 options:
1 – Learn how to midi map yourself
2 – Try the free mappings and HOPE that the person who mapped them has thought about every possible clash
3 – Pay a small fee for a mapping created and tested by a professional.

I know which one i’d go for!!

I´m feeling abandon regarding my DJT 100SE.

  • Kai Wolfer

Okay, doing a mapping is a lot of work and I think it is ok to pay for it, if it is not more than 5 dollars.. But I also think Djtt is getting more and more business and less passion… So I am really “snoopy” how the story goes on. One time there was an article on Djtt “Keep Djing fun” maybe the Djtt Team should think about “Keep Djtt passion” because the fans made them big. Don t misunderstand me, I know that it is hard to connect business and passion but I really have to agree with JohnMatrix, the influence of NI is highly visible… :-/

Why are they finally going to make a profit? I assume they have been profitable for years. Or how do you explain this site now has close to 10 employees? DJTT operates as a business, not as a blog by a single enthusiast.

They make money selling stuff in their store, they make money by running ads on their site.

And now they are trying to make a buck from anything. Certain instructional videos are for pay (e.g., the S4 tutorial), and now they charge for mappings, too.

I find it hard to believe that the mappings suddenly got better just because you have to pay $4.99 for them…

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001945260195 Rg Tb

A price tag >$0 doesn’t ensure the mapping is high quality!

  • Jon Cooper

But you are paying a small price for something that has been tested substantially. Time and effort has gone into making the mapping. That time and effort comes at a cost. Like I’ve said you don’t have to pay. You can go and learn how to this yourself and design your own shit hot mappings for free. You can’t expect someone to give up their own time and effort to design a rock solid mapping and then do all of that free of charge!!

  • Kevins

I hope they are somewhat profitable after years of doing this.. Id venture to say the investors had a very slow start and struggled for the first few years putting alot of blood sweat and tears into making the venture anywhere close to profitale. Good for them if they are finally pulling a decent profit. This is about the only site that gives the range of content that keeps me interested. Not even NI themselves give out anywhere close to this amount of info. The fact that they have 10 employees is great.. But do the simple math and ull see what their overhead easily is. 250k a year easily if they have 10 fulltime ppl.. Thats alot of mappings + midifighters they are selling if they are So profitable.

Sorry but 5 dollars for a mapping isnt gonna make them rich corporate sellouts. Itll get bootlegged and that will be that. But for those who need this kind of content, support them.

Yes they sell stuff but how many ppl on here buy thei gear from them? Very few.. Ppl go for the cheapest possible priced gear yet use djtt resources. Im guilty but u know what – i also buy crap from them i dont need to support them. Bought a bunch of knobs to give out for xmas. In fact, djtt encourages buy n sell of second hand gear and diy controllers despite being their own direct competition.their ads are probably the only stable source of revenue.

So cut them a break. Buy what u want or dont.. But Y the hate?. I hope they all get rich beyond their wildest dreams doing something they obviously love. But unless they win an office pool lotto – probly wont happen cuz ppl r so tight with even a few bucks.

I for one would pay a few bucks a month for more technology based tutorials and tools if the content interested me and if for nothing else to support a site that lets me kill free time getting content i love.

NI should kiss their @ss for how much theyve promoted traktor and got ppl interested in their product. They do a better job of promoting the use of traktor then ni does themselves. They are a big reason for me seeing how flexible that software is.

Just go watch all the djtt vids that teach u how to create out of the box mappings and then go spend 40 hrs designing and testing it. But dont give djtt 5 dollars for sharing all that info with u. Instead, go buy a bog mac meal at mcdonalds

Question already asked i gues, but again: does it require to enter midi mode? What about NI opening the HID code with the S2? Or is it just for “some” people… Anyway, not willing to pay for midi-mode-mapping. Would be really nice, if you could point that out and we would at least get this very information for free.

So on the other hand the DJTT mapping is not user cutomizable as the S2 default mapping i.e. ?  ( Just curious… )

Oh my. How can people complain about 5 bucks. Your in a business that cost money to play. Cords, music, controllers, monitors, etc. why would people complain about purchasing something from a site that has helped and give away so much to so many people. You guys have no idea what it takes to run a business. Ean is responsible for compensating employees who work hard for DJTT. Nothing is more painful for a boss than to let go quality employees because they can’t afford to keep them on staff. I’ve seen it time and time again in my field. Get over it kids and just pay up its 5 freakin bucks, that’s less than some big Mac combo at Mickey dee’s.

Apologies for the rant but it really urks me that people complain and accuse this complain of selling out, yada yada yada. It’s probably the same people who torrents traktor and their music and expect everything else that isn’t hardware to be free.

  • Rockson

Why are people complaining about the price? If tramps don’t want to pay out, make the Mappings yourself……3 Quids a BARGAIN!

The mapping does not use Midi mode. The mapping is built off a blank HID S2 User mapping that you can add within Traktor’s controller manager. I then remapped and commented every line.

But I guess everyone is free to have their own opinion.

I think its totally ok to charge 5USD for this .. its a ton of work. But what I am worried is that people that remix the mapping and post the result might get some flack. I would be nice to give a public statement that you are ok with this. Obviously there is no way to stop people from posting and downloading the original mapping to other places.

So imho it would be better to change the entire thing into a donation. Aka you ask that everyone who uses the mapping donate (at least) 5USD.

Why do you complain? Why should djtt do everything for free? Your are right. Djtt is a business. They have staff to pay. His often have u been to McDonald’s asking for free food – because they can make there money with other products and customers.

I think its a good step to charge for their mappings. 5$ are peanuts, i think its not a fee, its an appreciation from us blog readers to djtt! They’re doing a great job and its absolutely worth paying a few bucks for their great mappings.

  • Tim Maguire

Awesome, simply awesome. I cannot wait for the S4 version.

You can probably sell it at a higher price point too. That saves all of us so much time.

  • http://www.eangolden.com Ean Golden

Why is dj TechTools charging for the mapping?

It’s simple. So we can afford to update and improve the mapping regularly.

With our other mappings it has become very hard to create free updates and keep the lights on (the economy has been hard on us too). We dont make a lot of money, so by charging a little bit it allows us to invest in improving that product.

  • Nattevagten

Yes, I’ll prefer paid 4,99$ for VCI-100 mapping..

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=565642599 Johannes Pokkinen

    Love the mapping, thanks!

I have a few concerns though, one being the beat jump knob. It used to jump as many beats as the loop length was, and I loved that feature. With this mapping it’s always set to jump only one beat. Is there a way to get the old behaviour back?

Also I used to use left shift to switch the function of either of the gain/filter knobs. Now it seems to work only with the “correct” shift. Any way to get around this?

Tip: I like to use the effect on/off button on each side for echo freeze because it’s not used in the group fx. Much easier than the shift+beat jump knob in this mapping.

Also: how do I get autoloop to work?

Thanks Paul- just keep in mind that the mappings (and this one too) are always free for those that purchase controllers from us. We just have to cover the costs of production some-how otherwise it is impossible to continue.

wow awesome vid :) totally made me want to sell all my gear and buy an s2 :o $5.00 for a mapping, bargain price. saves me hours of messing around and actually dj not program. good work guys :)

  • Cid K

Very nice mapper…. But wouldn’t be nice to be able to do the same with other controllers… I have a DDJ-T1, i think it is pretty much the same as a S4 or the S2 in terms of features and buttons…

Maybe am missing the bigger picture here….

  • Killerfanatics

I like the fact that you can switch back and forth from regular jogs to effects. Nicely done.

  • Slak Jaw

Awesome work guys! $5 is totally reasonable if you ask me.  Anyone who has spent any time midi mapping in Traktor knows how much work goes into something like this.  Definitely looking forward to the S4 version in 2 weeks!!!!

Then its definitely worth 5 bucks then!!!  DJTT must be using dark elvish knowledge for this mapping.  :-)

  • Ant

No need to justify the charge, greatfull  people will understand and have no problem with a very reasonable price. A shame i brought my S4 before i found out about your website ( i love supporting the little man). Cant wait for the S4 mapping for this! and would like to thank all members of this blog for the hard work. Oh and loving my S4 bag that arrived a couple of weeks ago.

These’s busters want to complain about having to pay 5 bucks for a mapping? …REALLY? Throughout the past few years, Ean Golden and this website have provided so many valuable tutorials and so much knowledge at no cost. I’m sure there have been many sleepless nights for the DJTT team and a lot of hard work that has gone into making DJTT what it is today. Why would any of the readers want to hate on DJTT for asking for a small fee on something they worked hard to prefect?
If DJTT offers a good product at a reasonable price and you are not interested then keep your opinions and move on to another site. I know I don’t have the time to come up with something like this. I’ll be happy to pay $10.00 for the S4 mapping and a chance to contribute something to this website, Ean! This is a small price to pay for a mapping I know is going to kick ass!
For those who want a handout please go “occupy somewhere” LOL! And please, don’t be ignorant; this website is far from becoming a corporate sellout.
Keep up the great work DJTT! The majority of your readers (more like fans) appreciate what you guys are doing and I’m confident you’ll continue to keep us up to date on the cutting edge of DJ tech.

Well in my opinion 5$ is more than acceptable for such a good mapping,it is appreciated and you earned the right to put a price on it, regarding all the investments DJTT has already made over the years. There is a lot of work in there and your blog provides lots of valuable knowledge for free already. Thanks for that. Still i don’t see, how the argument above should be legit here – there is countless open source software/add ons/upgrades/mods etc. out there that fits those criteria, where the developers do not get paid by the users. Nothing mindblowing about that special aspect of your mapping – at all. Even it actually was free.

You guys always do right by me. I paid a little more for my S4 to get it from DJTT to support a company I like rather than save a little scratch and get it from a big retailer. DJTT for life! I look forward to the release of the S4 mapping. Also I hope you do a fun little challenge for the S4 mapping with prizes. I’d like to try and find some combos!

One question though. Will you be releasing an overlay to go with the new mappings?

Cheap-ass! lol its 4.99 and it takes hours to create a great mapping such as this one. You don’t think they should get anything? Come on man.

  • Jon Cooper

Ean, Flashflooder et al please please please do not apologise or try to explain why you are having to charge for these mappings. Anyone with an ounce of business sense knows that the man hours involved in creating something of this quality comes at a cost. A cost somewhat greater than the $5 you are charging!! I for one am glad that you are now taking a more business like approach because it secures the future of this amazing blog and forum. Keep them coming!! :-)

Controllers are all unique in terms of the messages they send and respond to. There is no “one size fits all” mapping. Every controller needs it’s own dedicated map.

You bring up a good point, open source is a common area of free products.  However, with open source you get zero service and no promises of any updates. We have found that people want and expect both of those things, and the only way to provide them without going out of business is to charge something for the mapping.

  • Nico235

Exactement. J’ai écrit des articles pour ce site, j’en suis fier. Il me proposent même maintenant de me payer.

Historically, asking for donations or “pay what you think it’s worth” will yield you more $ than small-sum pricing. Penny Arcade did it with their indie game bundle, and I’ve seen others; Image-Line, etc.

I am looking forward into buying the Vestax VCI-100 Ean Golden Edition. I would like the mapping to have similar effects set up to VCI-100 version 1.4 you guys posted earlier in the year. I like to use my pitch faders like the old fashion way. How much do you guys charge for custom mapping with combo effects?

This. A Subway sandwich costs 5 bucks, keeps you full for 3 hrs, then poof the value is gone.

5 bucks for something you use every, single, *insert foul language here* day… I say that’s MORE than reasonable.

Keep up the good work DJTT, I’m waiting for the VCI-400 to come out and I shall purchase through you guys!

  • Anonymous

I just bought a copy of this…..and love it.  Top work Ean!

  • Dennis Parrott

sigh. reading the comments on these things is getting tedious. so much hate over the cost of a latte…

c’mon folks. do you expect to get paid when you show up to do a gig? DJTT shows up big time and we WHINE about $5? ugh.

IF YOU CAN WRITE A BETTER MAPPING, DO IT. Offer it up. Maybe some of us will pay you the $5 for yours.

just remember that DJTT (Ean) has given away tons of great stuff and tons of knowledge over the years FOR FREE. just remember that he could simply hoard all that know-how and tell us to stuff it as he globetrots doing high profile gigs. …and we’d still be wondering how he does that stuff rather than paying a nominal fee to be able to simply use it…

you know developing stuff like this isn’t something you do in an hour or two. those who worked on it deserve some compensation for it — they have to pay rent, buy food, new tunes, whatever just like us. why should we expect it for free?

Ean – these super-mapping videos have given me fits. I wish I could just pull a Clapton and sit in my practice area for a good long stretch and figure this stuff out. Nice work. Way to get a guy to wanna quit his day job! (…better buy a tank and an aeroplane, if she catches up with me won’t be no time to explain… props to those who can ID that reference!)

As for charging, $5 is CHEAP and I will gladly pony up that $5 the very instant your S4 mapping is ready to go.

as for all y’all who are hatin’ cuz Ean and Co. need a burger and a beer, just STFU. come back when you have something to offer we’d all want to pony up a fiver for.

Ean & Co. – thanks and keep up the good work.

  • Dennis Parrott

somewhere out on the youtubes there was a guy who explained how to do some “super knob” kind of thing using an NS6 or NS7. it was pretty amazing sounding, very similar to what we’ve seen of this S2 jog wheel FX map deal. whether that super knob deal was his original mapping or he was using some native feature of his software, i can’t remember but you might try searching out those videos…

i don’t think i have them bookmarked as i was just surfing and i have an S4…

  • Dennis Parrott

no. your work would be substantially derived from the DJTT work and you would have added little to no value. IANAL but i doubt you’d be able to get away with it if Ean sued you.

if you did a mapping where you use the jog wheels to control some other functions of Traktor, you’d be able to sell that.

giving it away would be problematic as well. you would have to truly give it away and delete it from your system. think of it like a book. you can’t run a copy on the copy machine and sell it…. giving away this would be about the same thing.

this is totally false. take ubuntu as an example. with the long-term release versions, they promise you 5 (five!) year of free updates. plus there are free upgrades bi-annually.

you don’t get zero service at all. support by the community in ubuntuforums.org is usually excellent, most certainly on par or better than the support you get for DJTT mappings on the DJTT forums. the ubuntu developers frequently reply when you contact them directly as well.

i wanna make two things clear since my comments on this blog entry might seem somewhat “haterish” to some.

1.) i am grateful for the DJTT mappings and would like to thank Ean for them. i had a lot of fun with the VCI mappings. also, studying them was the primary means by which i learned how to create my own mappings.

2.) i don’t think $4.99 is unreasonable. however, i am surprised by the sentiment expressed in other comments. if people just want to give you money so badly, why don’t they donate you some? to me, a free product is better than a product which costs $4.99. (and it seems this price is only the beginning.)

lastly, remember where you guys came from. blogs strived not only with their creativity and out-of-the-box thinking. no, they also demonstrated how to deliver good content for free. they put traditional media to the test which didn’t find ways to monetize their content on the internet.

i think business-model wise, you are going down a dangerous route. sure, there are people that are willing to pay for your services. but keep in mind that many others aren’t. i’m fine with your ads, i’m fine with your cooperation with NI, i’m happy to purchase hardware from your store (i’ve placed 3 orders thus far). however, i will not pay for content.

I don’t understand why paying $5 is such a big deal. DJTT obviously puts effort into creating the mappings so asking for that much for one that will constantly be updated and improved is pretty decent considering there are more expensive things out there. Now I’m not going to complain about getting things free (who doesn’t like free stuff?) but if I’m seeing an improvement in the service (updated mappings and support for them) then I don’t mind forking out $5 for it. Now if they start charging $5 for every minor update that would be something else, but they’re just asking for a one time payment (or free if you buy the S2!). Anyway DJTT team I’m happy to see these new products coming out and hope you come up with more. I’m going to sell my CDJ setup and probably purchase my next S2 from you guys!

The problem with donations is that ppl are cheap and it doesnt happen. Obviously if it did, everything would be free.

This is why i wrote “don´t misunderstand me” I didn´t want to criticize the Djtt Team and I didn´t want to say, that you as a person or staff is not passioned..!!!  I believe that you and the whole Team love your work and you re doing a great job.. but I also think that the website is becoming more and more a store with a blog.. And a stores´target is making money (and no, I don´t want to say that it is like that right now!!) I just hope that you find the balance between an “healthy” company and the “passion”…

ill bet if everybody who owns an S4 S2 on this site had purchased it from djtt, then:
    a) djtt wouldnt need to charge for the mapping
    b) those that did purchase the s4 from djtt would probably get a free mapping from djtt (im guessing here – but similar to how they sent free knobs to mfp owners)

but i dont even want to speculate on what % of djtt users did not buy from djtt but rather tried to save $20 or so (even tho djtt tries their best to match advertised lower prices).  5%?  Probably not even!

Unfortunately, ppl wont realize a good thing til its gone (hope that doesnt happen to djtt) but seriously.. djtt can sell whatever they dam well please.. nobodys putting a gun to ur head to buy anything.

I dont consider a complex, unique mapping to be regular ‘content’ like an article or video so y the sense of entitlement?  Can those who think this is somehow unfair clarify why u feel entitled to this mapping for free?  Do you not think djtt has went above + beyond every dj site in terms of getting info/videos/tutorials/knowledge/etc to u already?

Good luck with this Ean – i always thought that u guys should offer more complex / paid mapping services.  Would love to see an app from u guys one day that lets a user do some crazy custom mappings on any controller.  That is something I would definitely pay for.

I’m not gonna complain about the 5 dollars, I would donate that much for a mapping anyways, but why not just ask for a donation? I mean people are defending this so much and in reality it deserves to get bashed….

    1. mapping is 2 months late when they had the controller well before it was released.
    2. NI pays them to do this, so now its money ontop of money.
    3. This is a key marketing tool for djtechtools, and having a market advantage over other competion should be enough to create mappings.

REALLY THOUGH, I AM NOT COMPLAINING, im sure it will be awesome but there are reasons to create these mappings other than charging people and i think djtechtools needs to realize this.

JUST DONT GET ON PEOPLE FOR BASHING THE STORE FOR CHARGING FOR A MAPPING.

There is a reason why many people support  djtechtools by purchasing from the site instead of somewhere else etc…If techtools does this with alot of other things that many think should be “free” or could be bought as a donations then some of the loyal customers and users of the forum/blog may start to go elsewhere.

Which will drive down the worth of the webpage which I imagine has grown to be pretty profitable by now.

Also by buying this mapping, I don’t know if djtechtools knows what they now need to do to satisfie the customers….we are now talking next day fixes on updates and such….not an easy task with time constraints.

  • Jonhenne

Honestly, $5 is a very reasonable price especially for those who don’t want to spend the time mapping their controller to Traktor.

    S4 Mapping Please!

  • Djrukus

Excited for the s4 mapping, and i have no problem paying 5 bucks to support updates on the mappings.. I know i have personally spent alot of time mapping on the s4..its not easy to do some of these pieces. Keep it up! Long time DJTT enthusiast.

  • Lanzi

I dont have a S2, but I know how the S4 works, because a friend of me ones one.  They both own a acceptable Mapping, but the version Djtt created is godlike! This Mapping would be reason to buy a S2, but the new Vestax should have some more space to be creative with his own mapping ;)

  • Matt

Man, I can’t wait to buy this mapping for the S4!!!!!!!! Ean Golden has done it again!

  • safadao

Unemployed full-time nursing student and bedroom DJ. Happy to pay $5 for a mapping I would not possibly have the time to create myself. Thanks for the hard work in spite of all the cheapskates and pathological complainers. Looking forward to the S4 mappings.

  • Green

5€ is ok i guess. but ill have to register , transfer money and this makes it complicated. why dont you guys sell it to ni??

Seriously people here complain about the fee of having a midi mapping all done for themselves. If you complain about the fee just go and make one yourself and stop bitching about it.

  • SVED

SICK!  Can’t wait for the S4 mapping!

I wonder what button will be used on the S4 to toggle the Jog Wheel into/out of Effects mode since there is no reset button the S4?

  • Vdubs

The preset fx that are set on the mappings that I downloaded don’t lineup with what’s shown in the video.  I can change them on the fly but how do I change what’s set in the preset?

I think you mis-understand how Ubuntu operates. Nothing Ubuntu does is for free, Canonical the makers of ubuntu receive huge amounts of funding from both SLAs from Companies using Ubuntu and funding or developers from Companies using Ubuntu. Open-source is not free, it is open there is a difference; see Red Hat as the simplest example.

And is a mapping really content?
Do you release all the mappings you make for free and then support and upgrade them? I tried that and it’s really, really hard work.

  • Diego

please, please, pleeeeeeaaaseee Ean make a mapping for the S4 ! :)))  I really liked your work and i would buy it 10 times if it was for the S4 :D

    (don’t ask why 10 times)

  • Diego

P.S.   $4.99 is less than the value of one of those free drink tickets they give you when you spin at a venue and it could be a key factor for (all) your future sets.

    (just doing some math here).

  • http://www.facebook.com/VVooDz Anthony Woodruffe

What an inspirational video, mix and mapping.
Yes folks; you can either send a negligible amount of money for this mapping or you can try and re-map the S2 yourself.
After spending 4 days (40hours) mapping a Xone:1D and now realising it still could do with a few tweaks. I know what I’d choose.

    S4, two weeks…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V17duGlHEYY

can’t wait for the S4 Mapping! Please try to release it in the next 10 days, as announced!
Got so much ideas and creativity waiting to get unleashed

let me help you out MrSteve81……… you see the video posted right above the bullets about the pricing and various other “FAQ’S” ? well that explains the mapping and what it consists of………..

  • Kevins212

How many years has this been focused on? Not asking ina rude way – im just curious.. Its been like 4-5 yrs, right?

If so, thats a pretty decent run and the fact that djtt went out of their way to support a product more than the own manufacturer speaks worlds about them. I know they made some money doing it but still..

Is there much left to even be done with the vci100? It would seem that with djtt experience and knowledge ey may have maxed out the capabilities.. I dunno.. Just speculating.

  • Kevins212

I dont think tsi files are OS specific. So itll work with both.

No.. Ud have to spend alot of time altering the midi signals that the mapping refers to. It likely wont work out in the end completely especially since this mapping uses NHL as opposed to MIDI. But u may be able to get 60-70 percentof the functionality working.. It will take alt of time tho and i wouldnt recommend it if ur not an experienced mapper.

  • CocoaBlanco

Got sooo stoked to see the new mapping, and quikly opened store tab and purchased and loaded. However, in my excitement I overlooked the fact that this is a S2 map!!!! I went to activate effects and found no preset button on my S4! Arrrgggghhhh!!  How could DJTT release the S2 prior to the S4 tsi? Blinded by my excitement, but now completely bummed. WTF.

DJ KAVE’S TRAKTOR S2 DEMONSTRATION YOUTUBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://youtu.be/avlFrhn2Vz0http://youtu.be/avlFrhn2Vz0I had the S2 Preordered! The controller is so dope, and the custom mapping is xtra sick. I’ve been experimenting with the jog wheel effects as well as others that are featured in this video and some that are not (coming soon). If you could visit my youtube page and give it a watch as well as a comment, it would be very appreciated!!Can i grab some of those knobs : ) Love DJTT and this mapping!!!!!

It really does make the S2 a lot more interesting to perform with.

  • Hector Guerra

Dude he is a professional programer.  software programers in all areas get paid for the hours of services to program. Programing sucks!  Thanks for the mapping

  • Bradyjsamuels

Bring on the s4 mapping! been waiting for this since i got my s4. and for $5…. bargain!!!

  • bassscience

stupid question but, If you purchase the mapping, it will be shipped in the mail??

  • SDS

o/ Finally!!! Can’t wait for the S4 version!

For the guys complaining about $5 price, are you serious? You obviously don’t have any clue how much time it takes pre-planning and developing extensive mapping like this?? I mean these guys are running a business here with staff to pay salary. $5 dollars is MORE than reasonable price for something that you as a end user will benefit quite a lot.

Keep them coming, I’m sold! :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/mrsoulfabulous Keith SoulFabulous Campbell

Ordered it last night. It’s pretty cool!

Just made this video uncovering some of the hidden features in the custom mapping from DJTT. I assume that a few are missing. If anyone has knowledge of some other features let me know. Here’s the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eb3LqKTsAxk

i simply cannot get this TSI to work. i load it twice, no problem. but touching the jog platter just seems to skip through the track really quickly. it is definitely the very latest one as i received it by email a few days ago and just got my S2 today and am in the process of setting it up. booooo.

If anyone from DJTT reads this I want to ask if you guys are still giving away those DJTT Knobs and Faders. I made a video this week, showing a few. Just want to know if its good enough. Thanks.

  • Bryanmccullough

So it seems like all we want for Christmas now is the S4 Mapping.. haha

  • Slak Jaw

Another DJTT’s missed deadline with no update news for your committed followers.  Come on guys!

Come to think of it I’m still waiting for the MF Pro Performance Video that was promised back in May or June.  We were supposed to get a full demonstration/instructional video.

Over the last year or so I have purchased a Midi Fighter Classic, a Midi Fighter Pro Cue Master, probably like 32 extra arcade buttons, a silicone Midi Fighter case, a Crane Stand, NI Audio 2 DJ sound card, the S4 tutorial DVD, a full S4 super knob set, the DJ Power Tools, 2 T-shirts and stickers.  Obviously I love this site and the products and am happy to support DJTT.  I know you guys are busy, but please stop giving us deadlines that you can’t meet.  Or at least keep us in the loop.  Professional courtesy.  Thanks.

I NEED NEED NEED THE S4 MAPPING!!!  I VANT IT NOW!!!  PLEASE.

  • Ryan Vogel

Dude they always miss their deadlines Ean Golden sent me a personal email 7 weeks ago telling me it would be released in two weeks and still nothing

  • Musicfan

Any news on the S4 mapping?! Either it’s going to have a lot of extra features, or they’ve all gone on an extended holiday from the money for the S2 mapping… lol!

  • Andres Ormachea

Come on guys! What is the deal with the S4 mapping! An update on the situation would be nice!

  • Ryan Vogel

S4 MAPPING UPDATE: Hey everyone I got an email from DJTT and they said it is almost finished Chris is just working on fixing the final bugs; however they said it’s hard to predict a exact date as to when it will be out! Every time i go to get the s2 mapping it says that this page can not be found… any suggestions?

  • RobCifre

Curious but in this post it says if you sign up you can get them, but when u sent me the link all i got was a 404 page? Any idea?

  • Fearfactory1286

where is the mapping, everytime i click the link i get error 404 you are looking for something that isnt here

  • http://www.facebook.com/raffe.bergwall Raffe Bergwall

I signed up, got a mail with a confirmation link, that guided my to another link to download the mappings, but that link was a dead end. “Error 404″ :( Bummerrrr…

  • Sandmandjay

Were is the mapping???? I subscribe but there is no mapping!!!

  • Groggs77

guys i had the same problem with the 404 error. i emailed Chris (djtt) and its fixed now so just click the download link in the confirmation email you received.

thanks DJTT can’t wait to get this up and running
    keep up the good work

just downloaded – this is really great, thanks for making it available. i also appreciate that the jog doesn’t automatically reset and that the control can be used for any three FX. seriously good stuff

  • DjOntko

I didn’t like the mapping.  Great if your only playing house music.  I was hoping for something more like They had for the VCI-100 mapping.  This mapping seems to be just thrown together with no real thought to it.

  • DJ Paulish

I think they should raise the price for idiots that complain… “What five bucks?!!” no its $20 for you cry baby.

  • DJ Paulish

Oh and btw thank you Jesus… err Ean, for the mapping.

  • Abucknill

there seems to be some problem with the s2 mapping interfering with audio playback – there are glitches and dropouts in audio. anyone experienced similar?

  • Damianxsaint

Honestly the mapping is on djtechtools right now for free…everyone who is bitching about djtt charging for their mappings are complete douches…I’ve been following djtt for months now…their mappings and products are nothing but quality…as a working dj I would much rather pay for the quality mappings that djtt has to offer than risk using some shit mapping made from someone else for free…djtt have done some incredible work with their products mappings tutorials etc…nothing but quality coming from these guys…if your not willing to pay screw…support the industry

  • jayson

i understand that djtt has to charge for mapping that’s
all well and good. however i would suggest that rather than mislead people
    about it being free I.E

    · Yes, this mapping is now free to
    download. Just sign up here!

Maybe they should remove that part of the text
from the pitch. in countries like Australia and England and pretty much the
whole of Europe you can actually be sued for misleading business practices just
putting it out there because the last thing I would like to see is for a extremely
good source of information and hints and tips which help a lot of people the
last thing I would want to see is you guys being sued under business laws.
