Fisher Price goes Digital

For the .001% of you that didn’t get yesterday’s April fools day joke, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the EyeCan Dj product is totally fake. In reality its a fairly brilliant marketing push by Inklen from New Zealand and a good poke at gear business. Since we spend so much time taking the dj industry seriously around here, its a breath of fresh air to make fun of it when a good opportunity arises. In the video above, Dj Mei-Lwun thought it would be fun to spoof the typical dj TechTools gear review. A huge fan of self depreciation, I pitched in to help him make what has to be my favorite gear review to date.

Are you kidding? You guys are bored for sure.

I owned one of these many years ago. They are very durable units – they still work even after you’ve rubbed poo all over the needle.

hahahaha, I remember seeing this vid, months ago. very entertaining

Anyone know the title of the instrumental that leaves at the end of this video?

Lol, did he just say “retro, futuristic color scheme” (at 0:33)? …Him and his ol’ double negative using, not knowing how to sell a whack joke, hippified, 2010 Coachella reject slash alt bro hybrid behind! Ean, c’mon son! Who is this guy?

I am starting to get really disappointed with the articles posted here. I really miss those really well-elaborated posts that no matter what genre of music do you mix will definitely help you, now is pure hip hop and shitty midi controller with arcade buttons topics, of course this is just my opinion, it’s not my point to bother or get into a trouble or whatever. Thanks anyway, I’m just tired of getting back to the older posts and reading them again & again until a great post has been posted.

    Cheers!

HeHe, I’ve been at this DJ game for a long time(since 1975). I have the kids and now, grandkids. My children were blessed with the old pull string See ‘n Say.
Dad pulls the string, then…. “The cow says …wicky wicky … oink!”
They had to go to remedial kindergarten.

This is how my dad taught me to lay it down!

thanks for the feedback. We are constantly striving to improve the quality of our content. You can expect 2 very well elaborated posts from us per week and on friday’s, like the one above, something less substantive to give me a chance to breathe. Keep in mind that means we are still creating 8 high quality articles per month (the same quality and size as a magazine) but without an editorial staff. Thats a very challenging pace to keep up for 2 years without any help but we are committed to making it work.

Dj TechTools is currently searching for an editor to help manage the process, and more and more contributing writers are joining the ranks. That means better, more serious articles consistently. You can pitch in by supporting us in the webstore or by telling your friends about the site.

    Thanks!

Thank you Ean, and I’m really sorry that I din’t recognize the great job all your crew that has been done here at DJTT, which is a one of a kind site that not only encourages people like me to DJ, but also teaches how to do it. I’m just basically not oriented on the hip hop or controllerism scene, and that’s why I’m little upset of not seeing more general topics.

    Thanks!

    _I loved this!!!!
I also really liked the way Ean responded to Dav1d11 regarding his disappointment on the latest posts, very diplomatic and very well written.

I personally think it is a very good idea to bring back past articles, that way people can have access to valuable information that probably never got the chance to be viewed by some people.

I remember that at some point I wanted to suggest the addition of a personal folder (Favorites) within the website so that each user could save their favorite posts on it for later review.
What do you think about that?

Ok guys, great job as usual, congratulations and keep it up!!!

  • Cozmic023

Nice one Ean, made me laugh. (Even had one many moons ago, shame it didn’t come with wireless then!! lol)
