I need a stand to hold a citronic cd4.2 dual cd player which weighs about 8 kg can you recomend one please?

I have a 17′ Toshiba Satelite and dj out quit frequently but am very skeptical about buying any of these LAPTOP Stands. I have many friends that have the Uber but have also sen them tip over. I don’t honestly think any Stand mfgr thought about 17″ laptops for DJs. Although it looks like this huge thing off to the side when I play out but is has served me well especially with the use of serato. I have a gig this coming weekend and would like to purchase something that will be sturdy. Fortunately I don’t have an external hd to worry about. Any ideas? I saw the Magma 2.1 but don’t think its in the US yet. Feeback would be greawt, THANKs

agrre with sould on the L stand which is very disappointing.I ve been using it for the last six months and despite the attractive cost, it s a bit of rip off. The parts are heavy and not very solid and after several usages, the steal bars are not correctly fitting in.
excellent article nevertheless and very useful for my next investment.

i’m confused about the crane from those pix…

in one the bottom piece is facing backwards, opposite of the direction of the laptop. in the other it’s facing in the same direction of the laptop.

you can use it either way. in the forward [taller] way the foot will fit under any mixer or TT. the other ‘Z’ position offers even more flexibillity. Check out the demo at http://www.thecranestand.com/pages/gallery.html

i work @ guitar center and I tried all these stands and ended up buying the DR Pro stand. Way cheaper and easier to setup. It doesn’t seem like many of these companies actually did any research into what djs really need.

…Especially funny since Crane is not distributed through Guitar Center…

try a Crane and you’ll get why they cost more real quickly imho…
