If you take 1 signal, split it into 3 then low pass two of these signals, then apply phase inversion to the third. If you mix the third (inverted audio signal) with the second audio signal (2nd low passed signal) you will be left with all the high frequency content thats missing from the 1st signal (1st low passed signal) Because ableton doesn’t have very suitable filters for splitting audio i am using phase inversion techniques to separate the highs from the lows while creating as little colour on the audio as absolutely possible.
