This is what I've been waiting for. I hadn't purchased Traktor Pro yet but this pushes me over the edge and I'll be getting it sooner than later. Will this be in a future tks file or are we on our own? Also, with the rotary acceleration control, will that help with simiulated platter speed (much like putting slip mats on a turntable) for quicker play-start response (torque) after vigorous back and forth movement or in DJ terms, cuts, chops and chirps?

Thanks for the tutorial. You've just upped the value of the site, the VCI and definitely Traktor Pro. This makes it comparable to anything else out there and keeps the VCI and the software from feeling outdated.

would this technique be possible to achieve with a fader control rather than a jogwheel ? I'd like to give this a shot on my UC-33e if it's doable.

Is it possible to switch from different tks files in a middle of a set ? If so, how can I achieve switching tks files so I can switch to different modes for a live performance?

You would be better off to map both modes of pitching onto the same tks (jogwheel and the slider) however, since you will likely want to use the jogwheel for other things during a performance, you might make a switch that will toggle the pitch n scratch mode on or off. I plan to remap the djtt vci-100 official 1.6 mapping so that instead of using 5 cues per deck in beatjuggle mode, I will get rid of the 5th on the jogwheel touch sensor and use that to enable the pitch mode of the jogwheel. Hope this gives you some ideas and wasn't already obvious.

the 5th cue point is the logical place to put this function- although that means it can only be used in juggle mode.

it is possible but just does not sound the same- the movements are not fast enough

One might just call this technique shifting. sort of a digital equivalent to scratching

What button do you guys use to turn this effect on and off. I don't need this trick all the time and would like to switch between normal vinyl mode and scratch n pitch mode

Nice! I have been doing the same thing using the pitch control, rather than the jog wheel. Didn't think about the wheel, will have to try that out.

Using the pitch control gives a good visual cue to where you are at all times, so jumping from sample to sample you always know what you are doing. There is something natural feeling about it as a pitch control too – but after trying the jog wheel I am sure that will feel more natural, plus be able to fine tune more with the midi mapping settings

One question though… I am not using the latest version of Traktor, but the previous non-scratch version. I can't find a way to toggle the pitch range of the transport. I use 100% rather than 50%, and would love to be able to jump back to 8% for doing other mixing via midi control.

Are there any hacks to do this anyone is aware of? Or, is there any way to do this in the new version?
