    Hey there!

    Very nice Stuff!!!

I'm thinking about building a controller that includes a motorfader.

    I got 2 questions..

Do you think it is possible to use the motorfader as crossfader?

    And.

Will the BU0836X sent the data back to the faders if i change somthing with the mouse?

    I like this Shit!

Ean I bought the controller from Leo Bodnar website and looked at your video on the do it your self project tried Mjoy, Bome Midi translator and the loop back softwares. None worked.. What could I be doing wrong. I dont see it on the midi section of traktor so I can select and use it. Can you help??

only HID to MIDI converter software like MJOY will work. We are working on our own patch for DIY kits but it may be a little while. you need to go step by step and make sure each part of the chain is working. first check to see if the leo bodnard device is even working and sending out HID data.

yes- you can use them. To detach the knobs you need a solder pump and a soldering iron. They are good quality alps potentiometers- then you can go and buy big chunky knobs to finish them off.

i am a little confused, so i can use them then?

You can use either logarithmic or linear for a MIDI controller. Linear is going to be useful more often than logarithmic as it has a constant gradient but log pots could be cool for super knobs…..

I know that there are two kinds of potentiometers and faders (logarithmic and linear). And one of them (dont remember which) can be used only in digital projects while other only in analog. So it is imbosible to use knobs from the mixer in any MIDI project. Correct me if I am wrong.

    Cheers ;)

this i really wanna see. I want to make a simple controler to use with M-Audio Torq. I want it to have 6 big knobs and thats it.. i have a uc-33 but its really just an over kill… so something with just 6 big knobs would really suffice. any idea where i can snatch up some nice big knobs? i have an old vestax mixer that i can destroy too, since i don't use it, but i don't really know exactly how to take the knobs off, like how am i supposed to disconnect them from the actual board inside?
