I've done this by re-organizing the loop-length buttons. The top one does 4 beat loops, the second is 8 beat. the third is loop length double and the fourth is loop end half. I set my sync buttons to hold instead of toggle and added snap(hold) to them so that the loops are right on the beat, but with snap off immediately after. Good work.
