Hi - is it possible to use the oxygen 8 to control traktor without an expression pedal? Can I use my drum machine to act as a replacement or something? Or better still, would be nice to know how to make the O8 control traktor without a pedal altogether.

Cheers

Hi,
I may be being very stupid here, but I can't get the files to work. Here's a step by step:

1. I've downloaded Enigma
2. I've imported the xml file, which appears in Enigma as USB Oxygen v2 Memory. I see that under the Preset window, all the entries are untitled and there are no parameters set.
3. I import the tks file into Traktor, and while the Control / Channel / Type are set, they're not assigned to anything.
4. Traktor can't recognise / learn any input from the O8.

Garage Band / Ableton both take input from the Oxygen 8 happily.

I'm guessing it's a problem with Enigma / how I'm using the xml file.

Please help!

then pads are easier on the fingers but they dont transmit any viceral info back to the user. </blockquote>

What do you mean exactly?</blockquote>

That you can feel the button moving and get a sense of how many times you have pressed it.

The pads are basically just a big giant keyboard buttons with pressure sensitivity.

they all have a very different feel-

I like the feeling of the stroke action (oh wow that sounds bad)

of the arcade button. It also allows for strumming the trigger.

then pads are easier on the fingers but they dont transmit any viceral info back to the user. Keys are good for playing a single key in a musical way.
for playing 5 at a time- not so good.
