We think alike… After playing with TouchOSC (on my iPhone) I saw that
TouchOSC Bridge can handle nearly anything via bluetooth (and their subsequent suggestions of using Guitar Hero guitars (the wireless ones), the DJ Hero Turntable and even WiiMotes as controllers (there are some really options that come to mind with the last one). I’m pretty sure I’d enjoy working with WiiMotes as a virtual Theramin. Anyhow, I grabbed some clean guitar samples and mapped up strum as single notes and down strums as chords. It took a while (with some frustrations) but the guitar was a fun learning experience for MIDI mapping with Traktor (and then Ableton Live).
