Woop! I am getting it RMA'd. Huzzah.

I just got my VCI-100 from djdeals.com and it was defective out of box. :( The left jog wheel is extremely stiff, and the right jog wheel is permanently red as if my handis on the metal platter. I verified this through my two laptops and desktop PC. I'vehad no luck getting any replies from American Music and Sound about getting an RMA as djdeals.com does not do returns directly for defective equipment.

Anyone know of any alternate contacts as the main 800 number for their tech support keeps going to the same guy's voicemail and the info@vestaxusa.com address (as well as the website itself) is DOA. Meh. :/

Here's a story for you. My stiff jogwheel got fixed when my cat threw the VCI on the floor. Don't ask how that's possible but it happened. Not only did the VCI survive but the stiff jogwheel was fixed and both jog wheels now have equal resistance and things are working great.

you need to run it through a midi monitoring program like midi pipe. if you get smooth 1-127 values then its not a prob with your gear. If you get jumpy values like 0000020222220126 then you have a broken vci.

helppppp ean
i've only had my vci for a few weeks and the left volume is gone weird.
basically if a turn the volume up on the controller it drops down on traktor also if i turn it right to the top it shuts down. i've managed to temporarily solve the problem by dropping the volume down to the bottom on the controller and turning up on traktor. whats the problem helpppp??

no problem- we replied there and here too :-)

my mod and my brutal use of my crossfader resulted in it needing to be replaced last month. It was very simple to replace- with the same part. I have no idea if you can switch it for a different fader BUT my instinct says yes. They should be the same basic structure, you may have bust out the soldering iron though ;-)
